Up and Down Bed

Ok, I know, in many parts of the world people call them bunk beds, but at our house they are referred to as up and down beds. On the 4th of July we went shopping and purchased the kids mattresses and put together bunk beds. Emilee had the choice of going to see fireworks or put together the beds and she amazingly chose to work on the beds.


She was there every step of the way to help Robert by handing him parts and holding up side rails as he put the bed together. I could hardly pry her away from the room so she could see the fireworks finale on television. I have caught her in her bed several times since they were put together just laying on her bed because she "loves it" so much.

Emilee has taken over the top bunk and we'll be moving Zach to the bottom bunk when the baby moves into the nursery. I'm just afraid that as soon as he is sleeping in that room we'll find him up in Emilee's bunk more than in his own bed.
