Zach is going through the not wanting to take nap phase the past two weeks. At his normal nap time he is extremely active. If I put him down to sleep he decides it's time to jump on the bed and refuses to sleep. If I leave him be then he will run around until he finally crashes. So yesterday things got really quiet around the house and I found both kids had found places to crash. I don't normally buy Captain Crunch but it was on sale for $1.00 plus I had a coupon so it ended up costing $.50. Zach finds a way to get it out of the pantry when I'm not paying attention and he would just snack on it all day if I would let him. Emilee was dressed up to go to her friends birthday party (which is not until next Saturday). She was insisting that she needed to go yesterday because it was her actual birthday. It took a lot of talking to convince her that her birthday was not going to be celebrated for another week.

I never know why kids think sleeping is such a bad thing. I was just thinking a few minutes ago that I would love to curl up on the couch for a nap.
I just love it when the body takes over the mind! I took care of Dominic a few yweeks ago and he took two naps everyday he was here(11 days). No crying, no fighting, he would just stop where he was and crash. When Julie got home, she was amazed that Dominic did that because at her house there is too much going on with other children there, that he seldom gets a nap. He usually falls asleep when everyone is gone home around dinner time.
