Robert had his tonsils out yesterday. He was in, out and home within 3 hours. I can't believe how quick they can do these types of procedures now and send you on your way home. Robert is now calling us the pathetic couple because I'm still healing from the c-section so there are certain things I can't do (like vacuum or pick up anything remotely heavy) and he's walking around like a drugged up zombie. I don't think we're that pathetic. Robert scheduled the surgery so he could spend some time at home after the baby was born. It's nice to have Robert home with the family for the next few days.

I',m glad he is able to spend time at home with y'all. But too bad about him having his tonsils out. Is your mom still there?
No, my Mom went home last Saturday. My in-laws came on Monday so they could help out while Robert recovers from his "ordeal".
How wonderful that he was able to plan it around the baby being born.Gives you a little more help at home,, you aren't pathetic at all! that is smart planning!!!!
Scott had his tonsils out a few years ago and I still have great memories of the two weeks he spent at home. Watch out, he did some funny out of the ordinary stuff while he was drugged. The best part was our phones had an intercom feature so he would call me when he wanted more popsicles. Good Luck with both of your recoveries.
I definitely hope for a speedy recovery for you both! I remember when they had to remove my tumor and ovary...the same cut as a c-section, and I couldn't even IMAGINE taking care of a new baby at the same time as recovering from that. I spent 2 weeks walking aroung holding my stomach thinging that the incision was goint to just burst open and all my insides would fall out, hehe.
So is that what it takes to get my husband to be home more...schedule to get his tonsils out? LOL I hope all is well with the family and the sweet new baby!
I am going to help michelle set one up against her will tonight- our kids have their weekly play time, so she will be there, and i have enough pictures of her family to make it cute... So she is coming on board... Its like a cult seriously!
